How the rally helps

Every day, 53 people in Australia die with chronic kidney disease. It is a highly undiagnosed condition; most are tragically unaware they are affected until it's too late!

It can strike the young or the old, and doesn’t discriminate. Not only does kidney disease take lives, it also significantly reduces the quality of life of those living with it. Many children living with kidney disease lead isolated lives as a result of their condition and treatment.

Our Kidney Kids Camp is a safe, fun and life-changing camp designed especially for children with kidney disease and their siblings. At camp, Kidney Kids spend four days away together building confidence and self-esteem through a series of fun peer-networking activities, while laughing and creating new friendships.

Your fundraising efforts helps ensure that children have the chance to be a kid, while having all their medical needs looked after by professionals.

$55

could provide a welcome pack (t-shirt, water bottle, cap and a bag) for each child. Helping all the kids feel that they fit in when they arrive

$80

could fund additional needs for dialysis at a hospital if a Kidney Kid requires this while on camp

$200

could provide a child’s outings at the Kidney Kids Camp, and the chance to have fun with their new friends

$450

could cover meals and accommodation for a Kidney Kid and their sibling at camp

$1,000

could fund the return travel to the Kidney Kids Camp for a Kidney Kid and their sibling, ensuring that cost to travel to the camp is not a barrier

$3,000

could provide special guest, entertainment & activities

Going to camp gives them a feeling of fun and freedom they don’t otherwise get - a chance to make new friends, play and have fun, just like other kids.
